The Artist Project was absolutely inspirational!

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

The way we see things changes them, and the things we see change us. Everyday magic surrounds us.

So many wonderful conversations! This incredible, synchronistic convergence of more than a hundred of my fellow artists, and tens of thousands(!) of art-lovers from all over the world made New York’s first-ever Artist Project really special. You may have come to Pier 92 looking for inspiration, but meeting you all and having this opportunity to share my work with you inspired me. Thank you!

When I’m photographing, and later when I’m working on the photographs, I’m always listening for that little voice in my head that says “Go this way…” or “What if?” to guide me.

If I listen carefully, and if I do my job right, magic happens. A whisper of the voice of the muse becomes part of the photo, waiting for you to hear it remind you “life is beautiful, and anything is possible…”
