I love old machines. And I love boats. Seems only natural that I’d gravitate towards shooting old workboats like the 1931 Fireboat JJ Harvey. The Harvey is kept alive by a group of dedicated (read: crazy in a good way) professionals & volunteers – and is one of several maritime restoration projects in New York I’ve been photographing recently as part of my Vestiges of Industry series.
